Chocolate Zucchini Cake

  • 1 1/3 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup oil
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp cloves
  • 1/4 cup chocolate chips
  • 2 1/2 cups flour
  • 2 cups zucchini, grated
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp cocoa

Mix together in order of ingredients, adding zucchini last. Pour into a greased and floured 9 x 13 pan. Sprinkle the top with chocolate chips. Bake at 325 for 35-40 minutes. This cake freezes very well and tastes better after being frozen or chilled. Frost with cream cheese frosting if desired.
