Sugar Cookies

  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp cream of tartar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp almond extract
  • 2 1/2 cups flour

Cream sugar and butter; add egg and flavorings and mix thoroughly. Sift dry ingredients together and stir in Refrigerate 2-3 hours. Drop by spoonfuls onto cookie sheets, flatten with a fork, and sprinkle with sugar. Alternately, roll out dough on a floured surface and cut into shapes. Bake at 375 for 7-8 minutes or until light brown.
