Boggles

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 cups brown sugar
  • 2 cups butter, melted
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 cups dried cranberries
  • 3 cups oats
  • 4 cups flour
  • 4 eggs, beaten

Preheat oven to 350. Melt butter, add sugars, and let cool a bit. Add eggs, baking powder, baking soda, slat, vanilla, and spices. Add flour and mix. Then add the cranberries and oats and mix well. The dough will be quite stiff. Drop onto a greased cookie sheet. Bate at 350 for 12-15 minutes. Cool on the sheet for 2 minutes and then move to a rack to finish cooling. Yields 10-12 dozen. These freeze well if you roll them in foil and put them in a freezer bag.
