Salisbury Steak

  • 1 1/2 lbs hamburger
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/8 tsp pepper
  • 2 cans beefy mushroom soup
  • chopped onion

Mix thoughoutly 1/4 cup soup, beef, egg, onion, bread crumbs, and pepper. Shape into patties. Brown in skillet and pour off grease. Stir remaining soup and 1/2 cup water together. Pour over patties. Cook over low heat for approximately 20 minutes. Serve over mashed potatoes.
