Notes

A traditional sidecar is made with brandy, but a whiskey sidecar is a good alternative.

Ingredients

• 2 oz whiskey
• 1 oz orange liqueur
• ¾ oz lemon juice
• ice
• sugar (for glass rim), optional

Directions

1. Place sugar in a shallow bowl. Run lemon wedge around the rim of a glass. Dip rim into sugar.
2. Combine whiskey, orange liqueur, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker; add ice, cover shaker, and shake for 20 seconds.
3. Strain drink into prepared cocktail glass.
