Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 2 cups flour
  • 2 cups hazelnuts, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • ¾ cup butter
  • 4 eggs
  • sugar for rolling

Directions

Melt chocolate chips with butter. Mix in sugar and let cool. Add eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Mix in vanilla, baking powder, and salt. Add flour and mix well, then add nuts and mix in. Chill the dough for at least 4 hours, overnight is better.

When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll into 2 tbsp dough balls, returning dough to the fridge when it becomes too warm. Roll dough balls in sugar and place on a greased cookie sheet. Press them flat with a greased spatula. Bake for 12-14 minutes.
