Short Stack Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cup butter, melted
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 4 cups flour
  • 4 tsp baking soda

Directions

Cream together the butter and 2 cups sugar. Let it cool before adding the eggs. Add the maple syrup, soda salt, and vanilla. Mix well. Add the flour and mix thoroughly. Chill the dough for at least 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Roll the dough into walnut-sized balls and roll them in the remaining sugar. Place them on greased cookie sheets and bake for 10-12 minutes.
