Peanut Butter Melts


  • 1 ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ⅛ cup molasses
  • 2 ½ cups flour
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 2 tsp vanilla


Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cream butter, sugar, vanilla, and molasses. Stir until it's blended, then add the baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Mix well. Add in the peanut butter, followed by the beaten eggs. then add the flour, and mix until all the ingredients are thoroughly blended.

Form the dough into walnut-sized balls (roll in sugar if desired) and arrange them on a greased cookie sheet. Flatten the balls with a fork in a crisscross pattern. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
