Pea and Carrot Soup


  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tsp summer savory
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 pkgs frozen peas
  • 2 pkgs frozen sliced carrots
  • 6-8 potatoes, cubed
  • ham leftovers


Fill large pot ¾ full of water. Add ham, potatoes, summer savory, and carrots. Bring to a boil and then simmer several hours until potatoes and carrots are cooked and ham falls off the bone. Remove bone. About 45 minutes before serving, add peas. When ready to serve, remove from heat and add sour cream and sugar. Serve immediately.
