Sour Cream Pie


  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup raisins
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 beaten egg yolks, save whites
  • ⅔ cup brown sugar
  • 9 in prebaked pie shell


Combine and cook egg yolks, sugar, raisins, and sour cream until thick, usually about 15 minutes. Remove and pour into pie shell. Make meringue using the egg whites and sugar. Beat until stiff and spread on top of pie filling. Bake at 400 for 5-7 minutes. Chill several hours or overnight.
