Beef Broccoli


  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • ½ cup beef broth
  • ½ cup onion, coarsely chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 2 cup broccoli
  • 2 lbs beef steak, cut into strips
  • 4 tsp cornstarch
  • 4 tsp soy sauce


In a medium bowl, combine cornstarch, sugar, garlic, and soy sauce, and stir until blended. Add beet strips and stir to coat evenly. Set aside. In a 6 qt wok over medium high heat, add oil and heat for 1 minute. Add prepared beef strips and stir-fry for 3 minutes or until browned. Quickly remove to a clean bowl and set aside. Add broccoli and onions to the wok. Pour in broth. Stir-fry for 4 minutes or until heated through. Mix with beef and serve immediately.
