Corn Chowder
Ingredients
- 1 jalapeño, seeded and minced
- ½ cup flour
- ½ lb cooked bacon or ham steak
- ½ onion, finely chopped
- 2 can cream corn
- 2 cups milk
- 2 cups potatoes, cubed
- water, just enough to cover potatoes
Directions
Add potatoes to pot and cover with water. Add corn, onion, jalapeño, and meat, and boil 20 minutes or until potatoes are cooked. Add 1 ½ milk. Thicken with a mixture of ½ cup milk and flour. Cook until hot. Add salt and pepper to taste. If desired add green onion or other vegetables in with potatoes and increase water accordingly.
