Cabbage Rolls


  • 1 can tomato soup
  • 1 clove of garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 1 lb hamburger
  • 1 pkg onion soup mix
  • ½ cup cooked rice
  • Pepper


Combine hamburger, soup mix, rice, egg, garlic, and pepper and desired spices to taste. Core cabbage and remove 6 outer leaves with as little tearing as possible. Soften leaves in boiling water with salt and drain well. Fill leaves with meat mixture and roll. Place in dutch oven. Mix soup with water as directed and pour over rolls. Add additional chopped and boiled cabbage if desired. Bake at 350 for 60-90 minutes.
